The friend of Faith (and the enemy of Faith)

(Hebrews 11:1 NLT) Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see.

(Hebrews 11:1b The Message) It’s our handle on what we can’t see.

1.The friend of faith: Speak what God says
(Mark 11:22-24) “Have faith in God,” Jesus answered. (23) “Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. (24) Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

(Isaiah 55:10-12) As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, (11) so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. (12) You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands.

2.The enemy of faith: Speaking through a heart of unforgiveness
(Mark 11:25) And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.

(Isaiah 55:13) Instead of the thornbush will grow the juniper, and instead of briers the myrtle will grow. This will be for the Lord’s renown, for an everlasting sign, that will endure forever.
